A cold day on the Upper Potomac starts the 2008 Match Tournament
season. Jeff lost one small mouth bass and Eric caught one catfish on a power bait grub.
River was very high and muddy due to heavy rains the prior week. Water temperature was near freezing except at the out-take of the Dickerson Power Plant which had a reading of 50 degrees. Lots of catfish being taken by anglers from shore.
No major mishaps, except for the significant amount of water entering the boat from a small break in the hull. Bailing with a manual bailer that had a broken hose was required throughout the day since there was no bilge pump.
All in all a nice day to start the 2008 match tournament season.
